eGenting Programming Competition

Long story...

Woke up at 6.10am. Genting bus broke down half way. Have to change to another bus. Arrived Genting at around 11am. Somehow we split up with the big group and can't find the place where the lecture took place. Walked and asking around.

Too hungry to continue. We stop at conference hall somewhere and start to feed ourselves with the biscuits and tea provided there (of course not for us). Found the location finally after we finish our breakfast at about 12pm.

Just went there for the solution lecture and prize giving ceremony. This is the only competition that provide such a detail explanation to the questions and solution as far as I know. Nice.

The speaker is so knowledgeable. Makes the questions look easy and solvable.My programming spirit is burning hot once again. First prize RM6000 man. Wahaha..

Well, another nice point is the free food provided. Lunch at First World Cafe, buffet.

Dinner at Genting Palace Restaurant. Shark fin with chicken meat inside. Economy crisis? lol.

Initially there were only 4 of us enjoying the food prepared for 10 people. Lecturers from Taylor joined the table while I was clearing up the shark fin soup. lol. 4 of us ate the whole bowl prepared for 10 person...

As usual, photos next time. Taken around 150 pictures this time. Hehe..

Scammed

my 017 number might not be available for a few days.

Yes Man! movie say must try everything. I signed up for the trial of Maxis broadband. What do I get? They used my IC to convert my current prepaid plan to post paid WITHOUT my consent. WTF???

Now I have to transfer all my credit to my sis and wait for the death of my prepaid sim card when the post paid is activated. Sien.... CCB promoter. My mother said never trust pretty girl. Didn't know ugly girl also can cheat.

Lucky I go and cancel the broadband plan tonight and get to know about the scam. Else I might be forced to pay RM138 for the broadband and RM50 for the post paid beginning from next month. =.=

Went to Mines to cancel the Maxis broadband at the Maxis shop. They refer us to the Maxis centre at the Gardens. Have to go there straight away as I will be going to attend a briefing at Genting tomorrow.

Do not trust the temporary promoter ever! Especially the Maxis broadband promoter at Lowyat plaza.

Plug in then the setup will autorun to install the Maxis software. Should be something like a thumbdrive inside the modem which do the tricks.

Lowyat

Accompany my friend to Lowyat plaza to buy mobile phone. Walk around. YES!! I guessed the route correctly. YEah.. happy~

Bought 20 meter LAN cable for RM25 so that I don't have to bring my Wi-Fi router back and forth everytime back KL home.

Signed up for the 7 days trial of Maxis Broadband. Have to pay refundable RM100. Hope I won't be cheated this time. Still can't connect through the USB modem provided. The staff said that I need to wait for 2 hours. Hmm...

Really have to resist the urge to buy things. So many things to buy. Bluetooth USB adapter, Razor mouse, card reader?, LCD?, new pc? jajaja...

Saw iphone, Google Android phone. No warranty at all and cost 2000++. Interesting. Garmin GPS so expensive. Cheapest model also around 500-700. Ask the shopkeeper to demonstrate it to me but it is out of battery. Ceh~

Overheard the shopkeeper talking to the girl from another shop.
