Friday evening

6.30pm

"ooh ma!"
"niku niku!"

Company Dinner at DoubleTree Hilton

Company Dinner at DoubleTree Hilton, Jalan Ampang. Makan Makan Kitchen. Buffet style but they only serve Malaysian food. No Sushi no Sashimi not even western food. =.=""

Stumbled into someone in the LRT station.
How are you? Good?
"Not good. Have to stay back for testing during new year eve."
I see... Happy new year!! =)

Well, at least I put a smile on this person's face for a moment. ^^

2010 2011

Reading what I wrote last year 2009 2010.
Makes me think a lot.
Here's what happen this year. =)

Hiking for a few times.

Went to Putrajaya for the hot air balloon festival. Did not manage to get a seat though.

Attended the first AGM in my life. Still holding its shares at the moment. =)

Attended part time Japanese lesson.

Work work work!!

Went to the Bon Odori festival at Shah Alam.

Assigned to attend the training at IBM Innovation Centre a few times.

Amazed at the rainbow

Amazed at the Menara Maybank. Worked here for a few weeks in a dungeon without windows, internet connection and water. =.=

Booked flight ticket for the first time. Flying somewhere next year. Woohoo!

Singapore business trip!!! Explore around the city by myself after the training. Happy.

Participated in eGenting programming competition and Google Code Jam. Seems like my passion for programming is still there.

Well, I did not write this flash back while looking at the heavy snow at the window but I appreciate what I have at the moment.

Rabbit year 2011 here I come!

“Compassionate leave?

Petaling Street

Menara Maybank, the place I worked this week.
The so-called China town in Malaysia. Petaling Street
One of the Chinese temple around the area. Just opposite the Popular Bookshop.
The famous wantan mee 云吞面 in Petaling Street.
The famous chinese herb tea  罗汉果凉水 stall right in the middle of Petaling Street.

Japanese lesson

Been taking part time Japanese class lately.

"I'm coming for the replacement session."

Bon odori festival

The crowd. People wearing traditional japanese outfit were dancing on the stage and playing the drum.

One of the food stalls.
Banana chocolate - sold out
Takoyaki (octopus ball) - sold out
T.T

Asahi japanese beer. Taste like... beer.

Japanese ice cream. Unique taste. Delicious. Green tea covering the red beans inside.

One of the highlight for the night is that during the end of the event, we stumbled upon 3 kids wearing yukata. Someone suggested to take picture with them.

I overheard that one of the kid is speaking japanese on her mobile phone, "doko?". I step forward, and speak, "Anata wa nihon-jin desu ka?" (Are you a japanese?) The most amazing thing happen. She understood what I asked and response with a yes.

And then I just stand there thinking what to speak next. LOL. No idea how to say "take picture together with us".

My attempt, "Kamera..."(Camera) *hand gesture to represent taking picture, pressing the shutter button.*

Anyhow, this is an amazing outing. Abandon the aircon and comfortable japanese restaurant and squeeze and queue up in a crowded and hot environment just to eat the same food and watch the performance. Fun!
